Adrienne Carter, LPC-Associate 91365
Supervised by Lacey Fisher, LPC-S, RPT-S, PMH-C Adrienne (she/her) has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. In the past she has used play therapy to help children who have witnessed violence, sexual and/or physical abuse and other types of trauma. Her work with teens has focused on adjustment, sexual orientation, anxiety as well as trauma. She is a certified Sand Tray therapist and enjoys using the sand tray to help adolescents and adults dig deeper and bring greater awareness. Adrienne approaches counseling from a trauma-informed lens, utilizing Person-Centered as her guiding method allowing for clients to take the lead in their sessions. She works in somatic awareness and challenges unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that keep clients from moving forward. |
Adrienne received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Bachelors of Fine Arts in Ballet Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma. She perused a career teaching Ballet before earning her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical and Mental Health from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
