Supervised by Lacey Fisher, LPC-S, RPT-S, PMH-C Hannah Joy (she/her) enjoys working with adults of all cultures and backgrounds. She has experience working with adults, using a trauma-informed lens, through childhood trauma, sexual trauma, grief and loss, those who have been victims of crime, depression, anxiety, cultural identity, perfectionism, and shame work. Hannah Joy loves working with adults to reduce shame, symptoms of anxiety and depression, process trauma, and anything else that keeps people from experiencing life the way they want. Hannah Joy believes that therapy is best done at the client’s pace, allowing for autonomy, and making room for all emotions, thoughts, and bodily responses. Hannah Joy is passionate about providing a warm, friendly, gentle, and non-judgmental space filled with empathy for clients to explore whatever they would like. |
Newer to the field of Perinatal Mental Health (PMH), Hannah Joy has partnered with her supervisor Lacey Fisher, LPC-S, RPT-S, PMH-C to learn more about caring for client’s processing pregnancy, infertility, perinatal loss, 3rd party reproduction, post-partum issues and more.
Hannah Joy approaches counseling from a trauma-informed lens, using techniques from theories such as: Person-Centered, Internal Family Systems, Attachment, Relational-Cultural, Somatic Experiencing, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Cognitive Processing to ease the difficult but rewarding process that is therapy.
Hannah Joy received both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Professional Counseling with an emphasis on Clinical and Mental Health from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
