Nancy Townsend, LPC # 88218

​Nancy (she/her/ella) has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. She is fully bilingual, and most of her work has been with the Spanish speaking population. Her areas of expertise are trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and immigration. Nancy utilizes a person-centered, trauma informed, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. She includes various modalities based on your specific needs such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and experiential therapy. She believes you are the expert of your own experience and serves as a source of support in a genuine, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner. Through a warm and safe space, Nancy works on building a therapeutic alliance to help promote exploration and growth. She would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey to healing.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Nancy tiene experiencia trabajando con niños, adolescentes y adultos de todas edades. Ella es bilingüe y la mayoría de su trabajo ha sido con la población Latina/o/x. Se especializa en trauma, ansiedad y depresión, duelo y pérdida, transiciones de vida e inmigración. Nancy utiliza un enfoque de terapia centrado en la persona, informado sobre el trauma y culturalmente receptivo. Ella incluye varias modalidades basadas en las necesidades específicas del cliente.
