What is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-Associate):
LPC-Associates have studied and completed a master's level graduate program in which they have met requirements to apply for provisional licensure as a professional counselor. The LPC-Associate is deemed competent to provide counseling to children, teens, and adults by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors as long as they are under the guidance of a board approved LPC-Supervisor. Once they complete 3,000 hours of counseling experience under the supervision of a LPC-Supervisor, they are eligible to apply for a full licensure.
My LPC-Associates are at different stages of their counseling experiences and work in a variety of different settings with many different populations.
You can check out more information about them on their individual pages under the Supervised Associates Page.
